چکیده

In models with a non-minimal Higgs sector, the lightest scalar state may be a neutral CP-even Higgs boson, whose properties are nearly identical to those of the minimal Higgs boson of the Standard Model. In such a scenario, the other Higgs scalars are significantly heavier than mZ ; their effects rapidly decouple from the low-energy theory. The decoupling limit of the most general CP-conserving twoHiggs doublet model is formulated. Detection of evidence for a non-minimal Higgs sector in the decoupling limit presents a formidable challenge for Higgs searches at future colliders. Invited Talks presented at the Fourth International Conference on Physics Beyond the Standard Model, Lake Tahoe, CA, USA, 13–18 December, 1994, and at the Workshop on Perspectives for Electroweak Interactions in ee Collisions, Ringberg Castle, Tegernsee, Germany, 5–8 February, 1995. ⋆ Work supported in part by the U.S. Department of Energy. † Permanent address: Santa Cruz Institute for Particle Physics, University of California, Santa Cruz, CA 95064 USA.

Challenges for MSSM Higgs searches at Hadron Colliders

In this article we analyze the impact of B-physics and Higgs physics at LEP on standard and non-standard Higgs bosons searches at the Tevatron and the LHC, within the framework of minimal flavor violating supersymmetric models. The B-physics constraints we consider come from the experimental measurements of the rare B-decays b → sγ and Bu → τν and the experimental limit on the Bs → μμ branching...

Higgs and SUSY searches at future Colliders

In this talk, I discuss some aspects of Higgs searches at future colliders, particularly comparing and contrasting the capabilities of LHC and Next Linear Collider (NLC), including the aspects of Higgs searches in supersymmetric theories. I will also discuss how the search and study of sparticles other than the Higgs can be ysed to give information about the parameters of the Minimal Supersymme...

Higgs Searches at Future Colliders : Potentials for Discovery and Diagnosis ∗

The prospects for Higgs boson discovery and study at present and future colliders are reviewed, with emphasis on the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) states. The expected experimental coverages with different production and decay modes are outlined. Particular attention is given to the Higgs couplings predicted when the top quark Yukawa coupling has an infrared fixed point. Characte...

HIGGS SEARCH AT e + e − AND γγ COLLIDERS ∗

The prospects for discovering Higgs particles and studying their fundamental properties at future high–energy electron–positron and photon-photon colliders are reviewed. Both the Standard Model Higgs boson and the Higgs particles of its minimal supersymmetric extension are discussed. We also comment on a two Higgs doublet model searches at LEP 1. We update various results by taking into account...

Non-Minimal Higgs Sectors: The Decoupling Limit and its Phenomenological Implications

In models with a non-minimal Higgs sector, a decoupling limit can be defined. In this limit, the masses of all the physical Higgs states are large (compared to the scale of electroweak symmetry breaking) except for one neutral CP-even Higgs scalar, whose properties are indistinguishable from the Higgs boson of the minimal Standard Model. The decoupling limit of the most general CP-conserving tw...
